A well groomed cat is bound to look pretty!

If you have a cat, then you are probably aware of all its shenanigans. Cats can be very curious, wanting to squeeze into those tight little spaces for some odd reason. They can appear to have an indifferent demeanor towards you or everything in general, but one thing we can all agree on is how enchantingly adorable they are! Did you know that ancient Egyptians used to worship cats?

Grooming is an important part of caring for your feline friend because not only does it keep your cat looking nice and pretty but it also helps you keep an eye on its overall health. Your feline friends tend to be very picky about things. If they don’t like something, they don’t like it and there’s not much you can do about it.  This is why it’s important to start grooming practices when they’re kittens, to help them grow accustomed to it so that they don’t freak out seeing you apply an odd looking brush over their fur for the first time in years! That won’t turn out well. So, it’s always recommended to start early.

Let’s get on with some handy cat and kittens grooming supply tips!

In case you do start grooming late, here are a few things you can do with brushing:

  • A useful trick is to have brushes and combs lying around areas of your house where the cat usually naps. So that when it does, you can easily get a hold of the comb before your cat gets too curious.
  • Have a family member stroke her the way it likes and calm her down while you’re brushing her. You have better chances of your cat complying if it feels more relaxed.
  • If the cat refuses the brush altogether, use an over glove to pet and stroke it in order to get it used to a foreign object touching it. Slowly progress to the comb and then the brush.
  • When cleaning the cat’s face, use a tooth brush with soft bristles. It will get the job done without freaking out your cat.

The shear idea of giving your cat a bath can be horrifying because we all know cats and kittens hate water. Sometimes, their coat might get tangled and dirt ridden to an extent that requires you to intervene.

Here are few tips to mellow out the process:

  • To minimize the chances of your cat jumping at first contact, make sure the water is warm, not hot or cold.
  • Use shampoos made for cats  only to avoid epidermal irritation.
  • You can use a sink with a rubber mat placed inside and fill it with water to about 4 inches. Use a spray hose to gently work the shampoo into the fur. Do not spray water inside the ears, nose and eyes. Nor should you directly pour water atop its head.
  • Move your way from the neck to tail. Massage your cat in a way it tends to like to keep it comfortable. Then finally, pat it dry with a towel.

The advantages of shopping for games hobbies and toys online from a toy store

You’re a godfather, a godmother, an uncle or an aunt, or your best friend simply had a child a year ago, and you might want to surprise it with a nice, interesting toy. Apart from seeing children out in the park or in pictures on Facebook, you have no clue what to look for once you enter a toy store and find the prices of the items way too high. As a matter of a fact most people do, regardless of their experience with children. Still, you are on a mission, and we’re going to help you along the process by showing you the advantages of buying games and toys online instead of in a physical toy store.

The Benefits of Online Toy Stores

Going out shopping is usually linked to the most pleasant feeling of relaxation and purpose. That is until you enter a children’s toy store, where the chaos takes control. Children running around the aisles, Lego spread all across the playground area, loud music and noises, all of which makes you want to take shelter in a monastery and find peace of mind.  Considering your lack of experience with children and their toys, you won’t find any concentration, thus the whole experience will quickly turn into a nightmare. Furthermore, toy store employees generally have quite a bit of knowledge when it comes to baby caring products, but are clueless for older children, leaving you as helpless as before.

Isn’t there a better solution? Sure, there is buying all of your toys in an online toy store. Not only would you do it in the comfort of your own home, noise-free and fully equipped with the utmost concentration, but the versatility and selection of toys is much larger.

Furthermore, you would be able to read and review all of the products you’ve selected and are at a pre-purchase stage. You’re not forced to instantly buy the item. You could take your time and read about the experience of other people with it. While in the physical store, you might be contemplating, and you might theoretically have the chance to come back and buy an item later, but that is rather unlikely due to many factors. Shopping in an online toy store is a completely different experience, there’s no hassle, and the information is completely transparent.

Price Efficient

Not to mention that the prices in the online toy store are quite different compared to physical retails. There are no costs for the company in terms of rent and employees, thus they’re able to sell at lower profit margins, allowing you to save money. Certainly, you might be forced to pay for the shipping, but it’s still worth it.

The Conclusion

To some things up, not only is the experience in an online toys store much more pleasant and could be done at your convenience, but you would be spending less money while saving yourself time and educating yourself to make the best possible choice when purchasing a toy.

Vitamin and minerals are important to the body. Research has suggested that they can help prevent various diseases.

Vitamin and minerals are important to the body. Research has suggested that they can help prevent various diseases, but even with the best dietary intentions, most people don’t meet all their nutritional needs. That’s why they go to a vitamin shoppe and buy supplements.

A vitamin shoppe has lots of supplements from the vitamin world, and it can be difficult to determine what you need and don’t need for your health. Below are the essential vitamins and minerals that you buy from the vitamin store.

Multivitamin

Multivitamin is the most popular supplement in a vitamin store. It is a daily supplement that contains vitamins A, C, D, and K. It also contains minerals such as zinc, iodine, and potassium. Avoid multivitamin supplements that contain high amounts of vitamins and minerals that are over the recommended daily value.

Omega 3s

When buying Omega 3s, look for the supplement that is sourced from algae or fish oil. Health experts recommend 1,000mg each day. Omega 3s are good for the body because they contain key fatty acids, which are DHA and EPA. Some companies add vitamin E to the Omega 3s supplement to keep it from becoming rancid.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is hard to get from the food you eat. It is an important ingredient to keep the bones strong by assisting in the absorption of calcium. While getting sunlight helps the body produce it, it can be hard to get during the winter months. Studies have shown that people who took vitamin D supplements live longer compared to those who didn’t take them.

Calcium with Magnesium

Your parents might have nagged you to drink your milk when you were young. This is because calcium from milk helps keep teeth and bones strong. The blood vessels, nervous system, and muscles also need the mineral to function properly. It is recommended to take 600mg of calcium along with 400mg of magnesium every day. Magnesium will help prevent the constipating effects of calcium. It is also important not to take calcium with multivitamins because it can interfere with the absorption of the mineral.

Zinc

Studies have shown that zinc can interfere with the reproduction of rhinoviruses, which are the bugs that cause the common cold. People who take zinc supplements are less prone to colds. And when they do get colds, the symptoms are less severe.

Folic Acid

Folic acid is required by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It plays an important role in cell division and fusion of DNA. You can get folic acid from grains and vegetables, but women who might become pregnant should take 400 to 800mg more every day. While the dose is often included in multivitamins, pregnant and breastfeeding women need more than the daily recommended dosage.

These are the top essential vitamins and minerals that you can find in a vitamin store. It is important that you get the right amounts of important vitamins and minerals daily to maintain the health of your body.

These helpful tips will ease out your kitten learning curve especially if youre a new cat owner

Your cat might be a soft fuzzy ball of love inside out or they might have a haughty aristocratic vibe to them, but either way, you can’t get over how much you adore them.  There’s so much to love about them - their fine feline movements, how they curl themselves around you when they want to be caressed, or how they express affection with those pretty wide open eyes and purring sound.  However, before we let our inner cat lover take over, let’s talk about a more pressing issue - taking care of your cat.

Cats make very good companions, but before you jump right in and get yourself a cat, you should be aware of how you are going to care for it and provide a safe, happy environment for it to live in.  Before making the decision to adopt kittens, take time out to think if you can make time for it out of your routine and provide it with the care and attention it needs.

Here are some helpful tips that all cat owners should be aware of

  • Safety first: The first thing you should do is steer your house clear of all things that could be a threat to your kitty.  This includes any exposed extension cords on the ground that your curious cat can stumble onto and any plastic bags you might have lying around.  Cats can potentially choke themselves with plastics bags.  Even ribbons or yarns are a hazard as they can strangle themselves while rolling around and playing with them.
  • Although cats are independent creatures, they need some attention from you, their human.  If you work long hours or have a hectic schedule, it is probably best if you adopt another cat so they can give each other company!  And no, this is not the start of your transformation into the crazy cat lady.
  • Get a litter box for your cat right away and place it at some place that is quiet.  Cat owners often like to place the litter box as far away from them and their noses as possible.  But, what you need to understand is that cats have an inherent fear of being ambushed and you want to place their litter box in a place where they feel at ease, a place that is accessible to your cat, low traffic, and private.
  • Cats are intelligent beings and contrary to popular belief, you can teach them things.  Instilling some basic dos and don’ts with your cat can be nearly impossible without using a reward based system.  It may be helpful to know that catnip and freeze-dried chicken nuggets are excellent treats to bribe your kittens into refraining from something or doing it, whatever the case maybe.
  • Before bringing your cat home, take it to the vet for a check up and get it immunized if it isn’t already.  Immunization is a must, because it will protect your cat from airborne zoonotic diseases. Also, get it neutered when the time is right, it will do wonders when it comes to your cat’s happiness and health supply.
